There are many great residential subdivisions in town, offering safety and a real sense of community. Family is important in Carstairs. Check out the many programs we offer young families. Our recreation facilities include soccer fields, tennis courts, arena and curling rink, as well as a splash park now in the planning stages. The campground is simply beautiful, and features a replica grain elevator with many historical items on exhibit.

If you see a problem in town, please contact Town Office by e-mail or by phone to 403-337-3341. Problems could include traffic violations, animal control, property maintenance, potholes, or graffiti. This will help us keep on top of infrastructure or facility maintenance needs.

Council Contacts
The Town of Carstairs is governed by a Mayor and six Councillors. Meetings are held in Council Chambers at 844 Centre Street once a month on the second Monday at 7 pm (unless Monday is a holiday in which case it reverts to Tuesday). All Council meetings are open to the public. Elections are held every three years in October; next Municipal Election is in 2010.
