The Town of Carstairs is committed to providing quality, cost-effective government services for its citizens. For 2009, the Town of Carstairs has an operating budget of $11.4M that includes infrastructure.

Property taxes are levied each year by the Town of Carstairs. Property assessments are carried out early in the year with tax rates set by Town Council in the spring.  Would you like to calculate your own taxes?Our online form is designed for Residential or Non-Residential property tax calculations. All you have to do is enter your assessed value and the rest is done for you!
Once the 2010 mill rate has been adopted, the tax calculator will be activated.

| Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) |
 Ease your annual TAX payment by:
- Making monthly payments
- Avoiding late payment penalties
The Tax Installment Payment Plan provides participants with the opportunity to make twelve monthly payments as opposed to the single annual payment due on July 31 of each year.

Preauthorized Debit Form (Taxes)
Current participants in T.I.P.P. do not have to sign a new agreement each year. If you provided post dated cheques to end of the previous year, you will have to provide six more post-dated cheques, or may we suggest taking advantage of pre-authorized debit.
Remember it is the responsibility of the property owner to keep the information on their accounts with the Town of Carstairs up to date.
